Murphy Speedway had it's opening race in 2004 with the O'Reilly Southern All Stars taking to the track. Chris Madden would set quick time and go on to win the 50 lap feature over Ray Cook. After the O.S.A.S race Murphy Speedway would only have a few races in before the 2004 racing season came to a close.
