Oval Craft and Murphy Speedway Fan-Tastic $500 Fast Qualifier
 

( 06/16/04 ) - The new Sweetwater, TN dirt track, Murphy Speedway is please to announce the Oval Craft "Fastest Oval Qualifying" award for the Grand Opener, O'Reilly Southern All-Star "Sweetwater Summer Slammer 50 event on the Friday night, July 2nd. The 50 lap, $5,000 to win Super Late Model race will now boast a $500 special bonus from Ross Ardizzone' s racing products business to the Track Record holder upon the completion of  the 2 lap qualifying session.

    "After meeting with track officials, we've decided to jump at the chance to be affiliated with this awesome facility." stated Ardizzone from his Tunnel Hill, GA office. "Oval Craft has a top notch approach to the business and we are excited about the opportunity to have them onboard with us." replied Israel Campbell, PR Director for the track. Oval Craft products sponsorship range from O'SAS series to Stacker 2 Xtreme DirtCar series and house a complete line of products for all parts and components of racecars.

    As the first "official" order of business Friday night July 2nd, the O'SAS racecars will take to the "mega" 5/8 mile dirt track for qualifying time trials. With this, the inaugural event of the Murphy Speedway, the first track record holder will be timed and honored with a $500 bonus from Oval Craft. A set of "B" Main last chance races will determine the 17th thru22nd starting positions after the Quick 16 are locked into the nights "A" Main from qualifying.

   As a "Fan-Tastic" fan bonus to the racefans, a lucky "Grand Marshall"
 general admission ticket will be drawn which will allow the ticket recipient not only to give the command to the racers to start their engines, but also win a Murphy Speedway Prize Pack that will include; a pair of tickets to the upcoming USCS Sprint Car event, and "I was at the 1st Race" event t-shirt, a Murphy Speedway cap and an autographed 8x10" photograph with the winner in victory lane.

   Tickets prices for General Admission are $20 with children age 10 and under free with a paid adult admission. Tiered Parking Passes on the back straight-away (current location for alcoholic beverage consumption) are $25 per person (age 10 and under free with paid adult admission applies and Pit Admission Passes are $30. Lawn chairs and other seating accessories are recommended on the general admission hillside next to the grandstands. Camping (w/o hook-ups) is available at the track beginning the morning of Thursday, July 1st at 9AM. Local lodging is recommended at the Best Western (phone # (423) 337-3541) in Sweetwater off of I-75 at Exit 60.
